We at Allies in Energy, along with our supporting partners, are delighted to welcome you to the Opening Ceremony of Houston Energy and Climate Week.​Below is everything you need to know

How to get there: For public transportation, place visit ridemetro.org. Cullen Blvd @ U of H Entrance 14

Driving Directions

 From Downtown Houston take 45 South, Use the left 2 lanes to turn slightly left onto the ramp to TX-5 Spur/Univ of Houston, Turn Right on University Drive, Turn Left on Martin Luther King Blvd to enter the Welcome Center Parking Garage

Parking Instructions

  • ​Visitors will park in the Welcome Center Parking Garage. Parking Garage Entrance is on Martin Luther King Blvd

  • ​Park on the 3rd Floor through the Visitor Parking Gate. Parking rates apply

  • Exit down the elevator or stairs

  • ​Cross University Blvd to the Student Center

  • ​Head to the 2nd Floor and follow signs to the Houston Room

  • ​Registration will be in the Ticket Booth outside of the Houston Room

General FAQ

What time should I arrive for the Opening Ceremony?

​It's recommended to arrive by 7:30AM to allow enough time for parking and security check-in before the ceremony begins at 8:30AM

Where is the event located?

​The Opening Ceremony will be held at Houston Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center at the University of Houston.

​Is there a dress code for the event?

​Yes, the dress code for the Opening Ceremony is business.

How do I access the venue?

​You can access the venue through the driving and parking details are provided above.

Will there be parking available?

​Yes, there will be parking available at the venue. Instructions and maps are included in the link.

Where do I get my badge? 

​When you arrive at registration, find your badge by last name. If your registration was entered after Friday evening, you will have to make a badge when you arrive.

I have a guest who isn’t registered, will you allow registration at the door?

​If you are registering late, please email info@alliesinenergy.org or come to the event and we can enroll you in person (providing the event is not sold out).

What time do we eat? 

​The breakfast buffet will be available from 7AM to 8AM and lunch will be a grab and go style at 12PM.

What if I have dietary restrictions?

​The menu was selected with Vegetarians/Vegans in mind.
