Who organizes HECW?

Houston Energy & Climate Week is organized by Allies in Energy, a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in partnership with the City of Houston and Harris County.

The week is governed by a volunteer Steering Team made up of energy and climate professionals from across Houston's business, nonprofit, academic, and government sectors. The Steering Team sets the vision, approves programming guidelines, and leads execution of the formal program.

HECW is also a member of the Climate Week Network, the global body that coordinates climate weeks around the world.

How is HECW funded?

HECW is funded through a combination of sponsorships, underwriting from anchor partners, and optional donations from event hosts. All funds are managed by Allies in Energy as the fiscal sponsor.
