HOUSTON DOES
HARD THINGS.
Houston Energy & Climate Week is the official energy and climate week in Houston — uniting startups, corporations, community, government, philanthropists, innovators, students, schools, NGOs, and investors under one tent.
Our Story
Born from a Promise to Houston
In 2018, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner asked Katie Mehnert and Juliana Garaizar to bring together business and community around Houston's energy and climate future. They answered that call — and Houston Energy & Climate Week was born.
HECW is the official annual energy and climate week in Houston, Texas. It is the only event of its kind that operates under a true "one tent" philosophy — welcoming startups, Fortune 500 corporations, community organizations, government agencies, philanthropists, innovators, students, schools, NGOs, and investors to the same table.
Now in its 3rd Annual year, HECW 2026 takes place September 13–18 in Houston, TX.
