A Call for Volunteers - Get Engaged

Houston Energy and Climate Week is a powerful testament to the strength of the collective. Committees in Need of Volunteers:

1. Partner Engagement

  • What You'll Do: Coordinate the participation of various organizations—including NGOs, government agencies, academic institutions, corporations, startups, investors, and environmental justice groups—in the week’s events.

  • Why It Matters: Partners are the backbone of Houston Energy and Climate Week. Your efforts will ensure a diverse and impactful lineup of events that address a wide range of energy and climate topics.

2. Community Engagement

  • What You'll Do: Foster connections with local communities, encourage public participation, and ensure community voices are heard and integrated into the week’s activities.

  • Why It Matters: Community engagement is crucial for building local support and awareness. Your work will help make the event inclusive and accessible to all Houstonians.

3. Event Planning / Project Management 

  • What You'll Do: Plan and execute memorable opening and closing ceremonies that set the tone for the week and celebrate its conclusion.

  • Why It Matters: These ceremonies are key moments to inspire, motivate, and reflect on our collective efforts. Your creativity and organizational skills will make these events unforgettable.


4. Marketing and Communication

  • What You'll Do: Develop and implement strategies to promote Houston Energy and Climate Week, including social media campaigns, press releases, and other communication efforts.

  • Why It Matters: Effective marketing and communication are essential to reaching a broad audience, driving participation, and highlighting the importance of energy and climate initiatives.
